It is imperative that we have your correct address on file in payroll, especially since W-2s will be mailed soon. If you have recently moved be sure to notify us of the change.

Registration opens Feb. 1 for Teach Ready conference

Attached is a Save the Date for the 2017 Teach Ready conference. 

Registration will be open Feb. 1st and we want to ensure teachers know about the event because it filled up very quickly last year. 2017 Teach Ready Flyer.pdf 

Registration deadline for ACT prep course is Jan. 6

An ACT Prep course will be held at Blackman High School Feb. 18 - March 18. It is open to all Rutherford County high schools.

Free swim lessons for students in grades 1-6 begin in Jan.

Free swim lessons for RCS students in grades 1-6 will begin in January 2017. The lessons are offered by the non-profit organization Howard’s Hope, which aims to prevent accidental child drownings.

After surviving near-fatal bout with cancer, Ann Haley refocused her life to serve kids, championed new John Colemon Elementary School opening Jan. 4

Ann Haley is a lot of things.

She’s a daughter, a sister, a wife and a mother. She’s an elementary school principal and a fierce defender of the students of John Colemon Elementary School, where she’s in her third year as principal. She’s a real-life-prizefighter, and most importantly, a cancer survivor.
