All teachers must create TN Compass account, here's how to do it

All certified teachers:

Every teacher must create an account in TN Compass (https://tdoe.tncompass.org).  The state will use the profile you create to communicate with you about your teaching license.

IMPORTANT: Verify that TN Compass has your name correct in their system.  It is required that you update the name on your teaching license.  If you need assistance in changing your name in TN Compass, you can find step-by-step instructions here: http://tinyurl.com/gun4o8z

Security: Visitors to central office must register at front entrance

All visitors, including teachers and administrators attending Central Office trainings, must enter the front of the building and register with the receptionist as a visitor.

This procedure is intended to keep the Central Office secure while also helping us track all staff and guests in the event of an emergency.  It is the same procedure we follow when we visit schools throughout the county.

SMYRNA — Republican nominee Donald Trump won the first-ever Tennessee Student Mock Election with an overwhelming margin of support from the more than 165,000 votes cast from students throughout Tennessee.

Trump earned 53.1 percent of the vote in the historic statewide mock election and would have been the next president of the United States had students been casting real ballots. Student-voters represented 479 schools from 90 of the state’s 95 counties including Rutherford County.

Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett made the announcement at a press conference that was streamed live on Facebook from the school library at Thurman Francis Arts Academy in Smyrna.

Students in all grade levels participated, including those who attend Thurman Francis Arts Academy, where Trump edged out Clinton by merely four votes. CONTINUE READING
