Multiple Rutherford County middle and high school students placed in the recent Career and Technical Student Organizations state competition.
Those students include Luke Love from Riverdale High School, who has been selected as the 2018-2019 FFA State President for Tennessee.
Love says FFA and Career and Technical Education programs offered by Rutherford County Schools have helped him develop a passion for agriculture and horticulture that he hopes to convert into a career.
"It's an honor and blessing to be able to serve at this level," Love said, adding that it has been his goal since he was a freshman.
All the student winners were recognized at the Rutherford County Board of Education meeting on May 3.
