Integrated Preschool

Children may be eligible for special educational services beginning at the age of three if they meet the State of Tennessee’s criteria for eligibility. After a referral has been initiated, a preschool referral packet will then be mailed out for the parent to complete. Once the referral packet is completed and returned to the Central Office, it will be reviewed and the appropriate evaluations will be conducted. All preschool testing is completed at Brown’s Chapel Elementary School located at 6128 Baker Road, Murfreesboro, TN. 37129. Once the evaluation has been completed, an IEP (Individual Education Plan) meeting will be scheduled for each child to determine eligibility and put an IEP in place if the child is eligible for services through the school system. Children have the right to receive their services in the least restrictive environment appropriate to the child’s individual needs.
