The high school mascot will be the Red Hawks, and the school colors will be red, black and grey. Applicants who are not currently employed will be required to complete the online certified (licensed/teaching) or classified (non-teaching) application. Current employees interested in a transfer must complete the transfer application. Instructions for both applications are posted on the Human Resources webpage. There will be two types of positions posted – at-large and internal. At-large postings will be open to any candidates who wish to apply based on interest and/or endorsement. Internal postings will only be open to current employees who are assigned to designated “feeder” schools. In February - April, the first round of “internal” certified positions will be posted. These positions will be available to current employees from the feeder schools only - Blackman HS, Riverdale HS, LaVergne HS and Smyrna HS. The number of transfers from each school will correlate with the number of rezoned students. All transfer applicants will be interviewed and considered for reassignment at Stewarts Creek HS. Once the required number of transfers have been recommended and approved for reassignment, additional “at-large” certified positions will be posted. These positions will be posted in March – May and ongoing throughout the summer until all vacancies are filled. They will be open to any new applicants or current employee from other RCS schools to fill remaining positions at Stewarts Creek HS. Classified positions will be posted in the spring – March – May and on-going throughout the summer until all vacancies are filled.
