Mobile Health Unit

What is Mobile Health Unit?

Ministry in Motion, Saint Thomas Medical Partner’s Mobile Health Unit, is a part of Ascension Saint Thomas’ mission to help serve the poor and improve the health of disadvantaged individuals and communities. It exists to help provide healthcare to individuals who cannot afford it and do not otherwise have access to quality healthcare. A faith based institution, Saint Thomas Health is driven by its Christian principles to help serve those in need.

Saint Thomas Medical Partners has partnered with Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City Schools to serve children and families of Rutherford County.  Serving children begins with removing basic barriers to learning. If a child is sick, hungry, or in an unhealthy environment, their capacity to learn is diminished.  By meeting the basic needs of each child, barriers are removed and children thrive. The vision of the Unit is to provide comprehensive care to our children and our community through:

  • Serving children and families of Rutherford County.
  • Serving the faculty and staff of Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City Schools.
  • Serving the community and focus on being a bridge to a permanent medical home.
