Rutherford County Virtual School is proud to celebrate rising senior Braxton Head on an incredible accomplishment that has placed him among the top junior golfers in the nation.
Braxton recently won the 67th Tennessee Junior Amateur Championship at Westhaven Golf Club in Franklin, Tennessee, earning the title of Tennessee Junior Amateur Champion. His outstanding performance against the state's top junior golfers secured him a coveted spot in the 2026 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, one of the most prestigious junior golf events in the country.
Next month, Braxton will travel to Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he will compete against many of the nation's best young golfers in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship. The championship has a rich history of producing future golf stars, including Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, and Scottie Scheffler.
Braxton's achievement is the result of years of dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence both on and off the golf course. Representing Rutherford County Virtual School on a national stage is an honor, and our entire school community is excited to cheer him on as he competes in Pennsylvania.
"Braxton continues to demonstrate what can be accomplished through determination, discipline, and perseverance. We are incredibly proud of him and cannot wait to watch him represent RCVS and Tennessee at the national level."
Congratulations, Braxton! Your RCVS family is behind you every step of the way. Good luck at Nationals!
