As finalists they will receive a $50,000 prize package of Samsung technology and resources, as well as an opportunity to pitch their idea in front of a panel of judges.

Students at Blackman have developed Aqua-Shield, a waterproof barrier for a house that can be deployed during a flood.

Martin and his students are now eligible not only for the grand prize, but also an additional $10,000 technology package for the Community Choice Award.
