What will my child learn at summer camp?

Students will sharpen their reading, writing, and math skills needed for success in the next grade level. They will participate in hands-on science activities involving technology and engineering.  Physical activity is also scheduled daily.  They will make new friends and meet others from different schools.

When is summer camp?

Summer camp will be Monday-Friday each week from June 4-27. Elementary students will attend from 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., with doors opening for breakfast at 7:15.

Who should attend summer camp?

All students are welcome to register for summer learning camp.  Summer camp curriculum is on grade level for the grade that students just completed, and it helps bridge them to the next grade level.  Each school receives a number of student slots available for camp, and they target students based on student data.

Can my rising Kindergartener attend?

When can I register for camp?

Summer camp registration will open March 10 for all students. Registration will be open until March 28.

When will I know if my child is accepted?

Families that have registered will receive acceptance letters for summer camp beginning the week of April 7.  Because of limited space, families may receive a wait list letter if all summer camp slots were filled.

Is bus transportation offered?

Bus transportation will be available for rising 1st-5th graders to and from camp each day.  Families will sign up for bus transportation when they complete the summer camp registration.  Bus passes will be sent home before schools ends to let families know bus information for camp.

What about breakfast and lunch?

Breakfast and lunch will be provided at camp daily free of charge.

What are the drop off and pick up times for summer camp?

Doors will be open at 7:15 for all elementary sites. Dismissal for car riders will be 1:30 for elementary students.

Will there be a nurse at summer camp?

Each summer camp site will have a nurse each day.

What is the attendance policy for summer camp?

Space at summer camp is limited, and each site will have wait list once seats are all taken.  Daily attendance is expected at summer camp. Third graders must have 90% attendance rate at summer camp if their attendance is required for promotion to fourth grade.
