Riverdale High School is set to host the final show in the school’s original auditorium next month.

Over the course of eight days the school will host eight different shows of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

The first four shows on March 7-10 will be student-led shows.

The last four performances on March 14-17 will be shows featuring Riverdale alumni and friends.

“We have former Riverdale students, faculty, and staff participating in the shows,” Riverdale theater teacher Mary Ellen Smith said. “There are RCS Central Office staff participating along with some of their children.”

This will be the school’s fifth alumni and friends performance.

Riverdale’s auditorium was constructed in 1972.

The current construction project underway at the school has plans for a new auditorium that will be finished by August 2025.

The current space will be redesigned for the school’s art program.
