Stewarts Creek High one of 10 state award-winners for fine arts

The Tennessee Arts Academy has named Stewarts Creek High one of 10 high schools in the state to earn a “School of Merit” designation for its fine arts program.

The 10 award winners were selected by a review panel who scored this year’s applications.

“It was a difficult endeavor for them, because all the schools showcased amazing work happening in our music, art, theatre, and dance programs across Tennessee,” according to the award email sent to the winners.

Schools of Merit were selected for elementary, middle and high schools. Those schools will now compete in their grade bands for the title of “TAA Arts Rich School of the Year.”

  • Collierville High School
  • Franklin High School
  • Isaiah T. Creswell Middle Magnet School of the Visual & Performing Arts
  • Mill Creek Middle School
  • Roselle Creative & Performing Arts Elementary School 
  • Stewarts Creek High School
  • St. George's Independent School
  • The Bright School
  • Union Elementary School
