In August, Riverdale High School broke ground on a building project that will add 100,000+ square feet of space to their campus.

Because of this initiative, the campus was left without a courtyard space until the project is completed.
Due to safety concerns, all entrances to the courtyard space are covered and sealed with plywood to ensure students remain out of the construction area.

Art teacher Emily Fehrenbacher was approached with the idea to cover the dull plywood in a Riverdale-themed mural.

Fehrenbacher, along with National Art Honor Society students and members of the Art Club at Riverdale, dreamed together and created artwork to enhance the school’s visual footprint.

Students who participated in the project are list below.
National Art Honor Society Members:
Kacy Momon
Luke Jordan
Fernanda Angel-Chiw
Cadence Arko
Ava Thigpen
Bee Crowell
Via Williams

Art Club Members:
Ollie F.
Ellie Baker
Ava Brown
Treyton Mills

Businesses who sponsored the supplies for the murals are Prismatic Society, CTS AVL, and Jerry's Artarama of Nashville.
