The Rutherford County Schools invites the public to the annual RCS All-County Band Concert — tonight, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. at World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro.
Additionally, 13 RCS students have been recognized for their exceptional artistic talent in the 2023 Middle Tennessee Scholastic Art Awards.
Anastasija Brkic, Adrian Crain, Ellie Saiyasak and Jade Amburgey of Stewarts Creek High School received Gold Key honors, while Abby Ramsay of Central Magnet School received Silver Key honors. Additionally, Ja'Lecia Burns, Rylee Davis, Bee Crowell, Kayla Goodyear, Abigail Gregory, Angel Hu, Kacy Momon and Mia Sanders received Honorable Mention recognition.
The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, now in its 100th year, is a national recognition program for creative teens. The Gold Key works will be displayed at Cheekwood in Nashville, TN.
