Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten application Information

Registration for VPK for the 2022-23 school year will open online on April 18, 2022.  You may also pick up an application packet from Eagleville School, John Colemon Elementary, Kittrell Elementary, Plainview Elementary or Walter Hill Elementary during the week of April 18-22, 2022.

Applications/Pre-registration does NOT guarantee entrance into the program. 
 
The Voluntary PreK Program serves children who turn 4 years old by August 15th.  First priority is given to children whose families have financial need.  Students may also be accepted if they meet any of the following risk factors:
  • Those who have English as a second language
  • Students who are in state custody, or those identified as educationally at risk for failure due to abuse or neglect
  • Children who meet an at-risk factor as determined by the LEA and the CPAC for the Rutherford County Voluntary PreK Program
