Welcome to Curriculum & Instruction

Empowered Educators. Effective Curriculum. Successful Students.

The Curriculum and Instruction Department works with schools, administrators and teachers to provide curriculum support and guidance to benefit student achievement. The department is structured by grade bands — elementary, middle and secondary levels — and also consists of specialty instruction areas, such as Career and Technical Education, Special Education, Response to Invention and Instruction, and Title I.

Dr. Kelly Chastain is the Assistant Superintendent who oversees the department and can be reached at 615-893-5812.
