RCS students receive recognition at History Day

RCS had students from three schools receive recognition at the Middle Region Tennessee History Day held on Feb 24th at MTSU.

Representing Blackman Middle:
Gaven Burrows and Jetrin Fitzsimmons received first place in the Junior Group Documentary for "Builidng the Soviet Dream: From Revolution to Stalin's Reign". They were sponsored by Mrs. Ariel Jones.

Representing Central Magnet:
Addison Savely and Kathryn Webber won the Senior Exhibit competition with "Frontiering by the Dozen" and will move on to the State Competition in Nashville on April 15th. Jake Hogue and Alex Perry placed third in the Senior Group Exhibit with "More than an Athlete" and will go as an alternate if the 2nd place team can not attend. They were sponsored by Mr. Brandon Eldridge.

Representing LaVergne High School:
Angel Delarosa received 3rd place in the Senior Individual Paper competition with "Bartolome de Las Casas: Establishing a Frontier for the Defense of the Indigenious Peoples of America". He was sponsored by Andrea Morris and Cynthia Barnhill.
