Rutherford County Schools
YMCA of Middle Tennessee’s School Age Services division has named Patty Oeser as its Community Impact Award recipient.
Oeser is the Director of Safety for Rutherford County Schools and serves as a liaison to School Age Services Rutherford County. The award recognizes her service efforts during the 2023 fiscal year.
Lauren Williams, Executive Director of School Age Services, said Oeser has worked with and empowered the Y’s Fun Company staff to handle and be prepared for emergencies that could arise in the school settings.
“Patty has worked to incorporate Fun Company into Rutherford County Schools’ safety plan,” Williams said. “Her leadership has been invaluable in ensuring our staff is aware of safety procedures in the schools as we all work together to keep every child safe.”
For 149 years, dedicated volunteers have worked to strengthen their community by being part of the YMCA. For the 2023 operating year, across several Middle Tennessee YMCA locations, 11 Community Impact Award recipients were honored for giving their time, talent and financial resources to advance the Y’s charitable mission of helping people grow in spirit, mind and body. These individuals have demonstrated their commitment and generosity to the YMCA’s cause of strengthening community and have remained faithful volunteers.
