Rockvale Middle girls’ soccer team wins county tournament

The Rockvale Middle School girls’ soccer team recently won the 2024 county middle school tournament with a 5-3 win over Christiana.

The victory also served as the 100th program win for Rockvale coach Jason Morrison. The Ravens also captured the regular season title.

Held at Richard Siegel Soccer Park, the tournament was hosted by Oakland Middle.

Players named to the All-County Team include Abbie Dodd (Blackman), Camila Sandes (Central Magnet), Ani Rice (LaVergne), Brenyn Crismon (Oakland), Paige Surles (Rock Springs), Ruby Martinez (Rocky Fork), Yarey Chacon (Smyrna), Sophia Polumbo (Stewarts Creek), Nevaeh Brumfield (Whitworth-Buchanan), Layla Gobelet (Siegel), Mackenzie Troutman, Katie Dailey and Bea Puertolas (Rockvale), Enslee Harlan and Devyn Merriman (Christiana).

Players named to the All-Tournament Team include Mikayla Moore (Blackman), Abigail Junkins (Central Magnet), Sara Lopez (LaVergne), Greenlee MacDonald (Oakland), Shelby Shuff (Rock Springs), Isabella Ochoa (Rocky Fork), Alma Rodriguez (Smyrna), Emily Moore (Stewarts Creek), Hayden Smith (Whitworth-Buchanan), Mallory Bush and Lydia Hester (Siegel), McKenna Samples, Ellie Bennett and Kylen Lancaster (Rockvale), and Enslee Harlan (Christiana).
