Christiana Elementary School’s archery team brought two top-five finishes home from the 2025 U.S. Eastern Nationals tournament in Louisville, Kentucky.
The team placed third place in the 3D challenge and fourth in the Bullseye Tournament.
Sponsored by the National Archery in Schools Program, the tournament featured the top team and top 10 individuals in each division based on results from the state tournament held at MTSU’s Miller Coliseum earlier this year. At-large bids were awarded to those who qualified.
Students earning notable finishes in their division were:
Elementary: Gideon Limphaibul, third Bullseye (Christiana)
Middle: Karlie Whisner, seventh in 3D (Eagleville); Millie Humphress, 12th in Bullseye
High: Anne Marie Granger, third in 3D (Blackman JROTC)
Additionally, Humphress was one of two Tennessee students named to NASP’s Academic All-American Archer team. Several teams had students recognized as Academic Archers.
A total of 14 schools from the district were represented at the tournament: Blackman High, Blackman Middle, Buchanan Elementary, Central Magnet, Christiana Elementary, Christiana Middle, Eagleville, Oakland High, Oakland Middle, Plainview Elementary, Riverdale High, Rockvale Elementary, Rockvale Middle, Siegel Middle and Whitworth-Buchanan Middle.
