The Riverdale FFA Chapter hosted the 2026 Riverdale High School Trade Fair, an event designed to connect students with real-world career pathways and postsecondary opportunities. This year’s Trade Fair featured 28 booths representing a wide range of trade schools, technical programs, apprenticeships, employment options immediately following high school and internship opportunities.
More than 250 Riverdale High School students attended the event, engaging directly with industry professionals and program representatives. The hands-on environment allowed students to ask questions, explore career pathways and gain valuable insight into workforce and training opportunities available after graduation.
“This event is all about empowering students with choices,” Riverdale FFA Chapter President Connor Copley said. “Not every student follows the same path, and the Trade Fair helps highlight the many meaningful, high-skilled opportunities beyond traditional four-year college routes.”
Representatives showcased programs in construction, agriculture, health sciences, advanced manufacturing, transportation, welding, information technology and public service. Many booths provided interactive demonstrations, hands-on tools and take-home resources to help students continue exploring their interests.
The Riverdale FFA Chapter plans to continue expanding the Trade Fair in future years to ensure students remain connected to the community and the region’s growing workforce needs. Next year’s Trade Fair is scheduled for November 2026.
