Oakland High School percussionists to perform in World Championships

Five percussion students from Oakland High School auditioned and were selected to be a part of the elite Indoor Winter Percussion Ensemble named Audio Theater.  

 

Audio Theater is a Winter Guard International / Southeastern Color Guard Circuit Percussion Ensemble based in Clarksville, Tennessee.  

 

The five percussionists from Oakland High attended workshops and auditions immediately after the fall marching season and have devoted their weekends since to rehearsals in Clarksville and various competitions receiving high ratings from judges.  

 

Their 2017 show is titled Victor Frankenstein.  A video of the show is posted on the Audio Theater Facebook page.  Audio Theater will be traveling to Dayton, Ohio, this week to perform at the WGI World Championships.

Snare - Jackson Ayers (11), Jayden Phillips (10), Noah Pickelsimer (11)

Bass - Dionte Wesley (11), Rack - Max Gardner - a 2017 OHS Valedictorian and IB diploma candidate (12).
