RCS will begin fall safety drills Sept. 12

Hello parents,
This is James Evans with Rutherford County Schools.

We want to inform you that all our schools, through our partnership with the sheriff's office, will begin conducting various safety drills beginning next Tuesday, Sept. 12. The drills will be held over a three-week period and coincides with National Preparedness Month in September.

Our schools conduct drills multiple times each year so that our employees and students can practice procedures to prepare in the event of a true emergency.
Principals were asked to select three preferred days within the next three weeks to conduct their unannounced fall safety drill. At the conclusion of their drill, principals will send out a School Messenger notification to keep parents informed.

We are sending you this message in case you hear about an increased presence from emergency personnel at your school. If you have any questions about the drills, please contact our Safe Schools Coordinator Joshua Kubly at 615-893-5812.
