For the fifth consecutive year, Riverdale High School gathered in the Johnny Parsley Gymnasium for its annual Brave the Shave event.

The school teamed up with the St. Baldricks Foundation to Conquer Childhood Cancer.

Lamar Davis, Riverdale’s current Teacher of the Year and organizer of the fundraiser, said this year’s goal is to raise $40,000. Last year, they surpassed $32,000.

Former principal Tom Nolan was the first to have his head shaved this year.

For those still wishing to contribute to the fund, you can find them on social media.
