Christiana Elem. to remain closed Thursday, intended to reopen Friday The temporary roof repairs have been completed but we need to allow teachers another day to get their classrooms back in order before students can return. As such, the school will remain closed Thursday, March 23, but we intend for the school to reopen on Friday, March 24.
Blackman High School precautionary evacuation canceled Blackman High School was temporarily evacuated this morning as a precaution while a possible gas leak was investigated by the fire department. The evacuation has been canceled now and students headed back inside. The fire department has cleared the building after a faulty valve in science lab was repaired.All students are safe.
Central student receives gold medallion, scholarship, trip to D.C. for volunteer award Central Magnet School student Wills McAdams — who recently earned one of only two of Tennessee’s 2017 youth volunteer awards — was presented with a gold medallion during an assembly in front of his peers this morning at the school.
