Requests to distribute information (Peach Jar)

Peach JarRutherford County Schools will consider requests to distribute information to parents from organizations which provide youth-oriented activities and/or programs that support the educational enrichment of students.
 
For qualifying information, Rutherford County Schools offers flyer distribution through the Peach Jar electronic distribution platform. 
 

To submit eflyers for approval:

1. Visit Peach Jar
2. Register as a Community Organizer (account type).

  • For Nonprofit organizations:
    Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations must upload a current letter of determination from the Internal Revenue Service indicating their non-profit status into their Peachjar account. Peachjar’s service fees may still apply.
  • For profit organizations:
    At this time, Rutherford County Schools does not accept flyers from “For Profit” organizations unless their offer is for a product benefiting students that does not require a purchase. Peachjar’s service fees will still apply.

3. Upload your flyer for approval. Flyer must be uploaded as a PDF.

 

NOTE: If you are a parent group at one of our schools, these instructions do not apply. Please contact your campus Peachjar e-flyer coordinator.

Flyer Approval Guidelines

  • Each flyer must include the verbiage: "These materials are neither sponsored nor endorsed by Rutherford County Schools."
  • Support the basic educational mission of the district and directly benefit the students or be of intrinsic value to the students.
  • Should not promote the use or sale of materials or services that are illegal or inconsistent with school objectives, including, but not limited to, materials or advertisements for tobacco, intoxicants, movies, or products unsuitable for children.
  • Should not be lewd, obscene, libelous, or slanderous.
  • Should not discriminate against, attack, or denigrate any group on account of gender, race, age, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability, or other unlawful consideration.
  • Should not incite students to commit unlawful acts, violate school rules, or disrupt the orderly operation of the schools.
  • Should not promote any particular political interest, candidate, party, or ballot measure, unless the candidates or advocates from all sides are provided the opportunity to present their views to the students during school hours or scheduled events.
  • Should not imply the school district’s endorsement of any identified product or service.
