During the month of May, several Rutherford County Schools Visual Art teachers displayed work of their own at the Community Gallery at Patterson Park.

We always enjoy the artwork RCS students create each year under the instruction of wonderful teachers; and many of those teachers are also practicing artists. This show offered an opportunity for these artist-teachers to present original artwork to the public.
Seven RCS artist-teachers presented work for the Spring 2021 RCS Teacher Art Show.

Athletic trainers, coaches conducting emergency response drills to keep student-athletes safe

RCS Athletic trainers and coaches have been practicing emergency response drills throughout the school year to help students in the event of a cardiac event.

The school district has now earned multiple "Gold Star Certified" ratings by the Safe Stars Initiative, a program offered by the Tennessee Department of Health and The Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Rutherford County Schools has received more Gold Stars than any other school district in Tennessee.
