Rutherford County students receive National FFA honors

Multiple RCS students and FFA chapters have been honored by the National FFA Organization. The following is a list of students and chapters within RCS which were honored with scholarships and awards at last weekend's National FFA convention.


American Degree Recipients
Stewarts Creek FFA - Harrison Falcofsky, Wyatt Blanks
Oakland FFA - Mason Deberry, Gracie Anderson, Lucas Robertson, Brenlee Stout, Seth Dearden
Riverdale FFA - Alana Hester, Mason McFerrin
Eagleville FFA - Jamillia Lynch, Haylee Ferguson, Olivia Gregg, Keith Ralston, Danielle Watkins

National Chapter Awards
Oakland- 2 Star Chapter
Eagleville- 3 Star Chapter
Stewarts Creek- 3 Star Chapter

National Agricultural Proficiency Awards
Winner- Agriscience Research Integrated Systems- Garren Hamby, Eagleville, $1,400
Finalist- Agriscience Research Animal Systems- Harrison Falcofsky, Stewarts Creek, $900

 

National Leadership and Career Development Events

National Runner Up – Agriculture Issues LDE (Team awarded $500)
Stewarts Creek FFA- Team members each received $600 and included Ella Hasty, Kendall Beard, Harley Huber, Karlee Dunn, Megan James, Kari Thongkham, & Trevor Culbertson 

National Competitor - Livestock Evaluation LDE (Team awarded $500)
Stewarts Creek FFA- Team members included Tyler Moses (Gold rank), Brett Mann (Silver rank), and Brady Lee (Silver rank)

National Competitor - Floriculture CDE (Team awarded $500)
Stewarts Creek FFA- Team members included Ari Mota (Silver rank)
