Unfortunately, Rutherford County Schools must remain closed Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, because of ongoing road conditions in several rural areas of the county.
Our transportation department has driven bus routes today and been in contact with the sheriff’s office about road conditions, and the sheriff’s office has named numerous rural roads that are still considered dangerous. In addition, the temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing before 11 a.m Monday.
Based on these factors, Rutherford County Schools will remain closed Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, to ensure the safety of student drivers and those on school buses. Thanks for your time and have a good evening.
