The first ever MDA Golf Classic Tournament raised over $35,000.

Hosted by Reliant Reality ERA Powered & Signature Tile Service, on August 28, organizers announced that $30,236 will go towards helping families with muscle disease, so they can grow stronger.

A trio of high school golfers from Rutherford County – senior Sheldon Barina and freshman Wesley Sandlin from Stewarts Creek along with Oakland sophomore Dalton Gray – finished third out of 31 teams and 125 players.

They were the only high school participants in a tournament that otherwise featured adults.
