Area 16 Special Olympics in Rutherford County its annual bowling tournament for elementary and middle schools Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Smyrna Bowling Center.
There were 206 athletes from 19 schools in Rutherford County and six from Murfreesboro City Schools.
This year’s tournament was made possible in part by grants from the Richard Siegel Foundation, Schneider Electric North America Foundation and a new partnership with the Nashville Predators Foundation.
Seven high schools will participate on Thursday.
