Welcome to the School Safety Website. Meet our directors! 

 

School Safety Director- Patty Oeser- Ms. Oeser brings over 25 years of law enforcement experience including 13 years as a School Resource Officer at the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office. Her passion working with students and school staff led her back to Rutherford County Schools in 2021, where she currently serves as the School Safety Director. She is innovative and always look at new ways to ensure the safety of all students and staff. One of her number one priorities is the importance of mental health awareness and support.  Mrs. Oeser takes an active role working with RCS Student Support to ensure that students and families feel supported. 

 

Assistant School Safety Director- Sean Martin- Mr. Martin brings with him over 15 years of law enforcement experience including working a School Resource Officer Sergeant who supervised SROs and school patrol monitors. He wants to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Mr. Martin is also passionate about mental health and ensuring that all students and parents feel heard. He works very closely with Student Support Services and takes an active role working with the schools to ensure that safety.
