Vision and Mission Statement

Vision Statement

To ensure that each student that arrives at an RCS school feels safe, supported, and empowered. Physical security of all our schools will always be an important piece of school safety, but student mental health is significantly important as well. To promote fairness and equitability it is important that students are heard by their peers. By collaborating with our mental professionals, teachers, and administrators, the goal will be to develop and implement strategies that allow our students to be successful in the academic career.

Mission Statement

Through proactive steps the Rutherford County Schools School Safety Office works closely with our administrators, mental health professionals, and the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer (SRO) Division to ensure the safety and security of all our students, teachers, and staff. This will always remain our top priority. With a focus not only on physical building security, but also that of the mental well-being of our students and staff.
