This year’s Winner’s Circle Art Show will be capped off with a closing reception Thursday evening, where merit and Best in Show awards will be given.

More than 200 students have had their work on display at the Todd Art Gallery, which is located on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University, throughout the month of May. Thursday’s reception will begin at 6 p.m.

"This is a great opportunity to celebrate our young, dedicated visual artists,” said Lindsay Halford, fine arts coordinator for Rutherford County Schools. “There are many creative, beautiful, and thought-provoking pieces among this year's selected works. It's really interesting to see all of the artwork from kindergartners through high school seniors and think about the artistic journey students go through during their years studying art in RCS."

The artwork was chosen by the art teachers at each school as exemplary works to represent their schools.

There are works representing every grade level from kindergarten through 12th grade.

The works were first shown in the RCS All-County Art Show at the Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center, in March, followed by the adjudicated Winner's Circle show.
