SCTV and Carpe Artista have teamed up to put on a virtual holiday concert next week.
“Christmas @ Home” will be shown locally on Smyrna TV Channel 3 and will be linked from the Stewarts Creek TV YouTube page.
Although the Town of Smyrna did not get to host their annual Christmas parade this year, Ron Alley from Carpe Artista wanted to showcase some holiday cheer for those that cannot get out and celebrate during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This event will include local artist spreading some holiday cheer for all to enjoy.
“To put our own Red Hawk #Oneteam stamp on this event,” said Chris Bissinger, television instructor and SCTV faculty advisor, “it will be completely produced by the students of SCTV from all four levels of the program.
“This is the first time all four levels of SCTV will be represented on a show and I am beyond proud of the students who have stepped up and are taking time away from their holiday break to participate in the event. So, if you don’t have plans on Monday, Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. snuggle up by the fire with your family and enjoy ‘Christmas @ Home.’”
All students will be masked and will be socially distanced as recommended by the CDC and Rutherford County Health Department.
