Rutherford County Schools
Criminal justice programs from schools around the county came together Saturday to compete in a competition at the National Guard Armory.
The competition held the following events:
Each of these events was meant to test student knowledge about Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Practices.
The teachers involved design the events to reflect the information taught in classrooms from the Criminal Justice Tennessee State Standards.
Each school is required to plan and host one of the events for the other schools to compete.
LaVergne took home first overall out of seven Rutherford County schools competing.
Riverdale placed second, and Stewarts Creek finished third overall in the competition.
The teams thanked the National Guard Armory for hosting the event.
