The mother of the alleged Charlie Kirk shooter does NOT work for Rutherford County Schools.
While there is a school district employee with a similar name to the mother of the suspect in the Charlie Kirk shooting case, the RCS employee is not related to the suspect in any way.
The employee has started receiving hate messages and media inquiries since the suspect’s name was released earlier today. The employee’s name and photo have been removed from all school district websites and the employee is temporarily deactivating her social media accounts.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and Rutherford County Schools have also received concerned and aggressive calls about the employee, but again, it is a case of mistaken identity.
Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh asked people to stop jumping to conclusions and making assumptions.
“This person does not have a connection and has nothing to do with this individual,” Fitzhugh said.
