Dana Lester was recently selected to be a fellow of the Collaborative for Student Success.

Lester is a TNCore coach and media specialist at Walter Hill School, while Collaborative for Student Success works to transform public education through their commitment to high standards.

According to Katrina Boone, director of teacher outreach, the collaborative devotes a large percentage of their resources to supporting and accelerating the advocacy of educators like Lester.

Lester has been invited to participate in the 2016 Convening in Alexandria, Virginia, from September 16-18.

The convening will represent educators in various roles, grade levels and subject areas from 19 states. Collaborative for Student Success recognizes the most important work occurs in the classroom, where teachers and educators work to achieve student equity and excellence.

Boone wrote that Lester's selection is a testament to her successes as an educator and her commitment to improve education systems.
